The
folklore ensemble "PUNJAB CULTURAL PROMOTION COUNCIL" (PCPC)
welcomes you to its official website. This
cultural body is working to promote the rich
cultural heritage of the Punjab state in
North-India, and Indian folklore on national and
international horizons. PCPC represents
folk songs, folk music and folk dances from
Punjab region of Northern-India.

PCPC has sixty 60 International Folk Dance Festivals to its credit and
its dancers have performed in over 600 concerts in national and
international festivals to propagate mission of peace and goodwill.
Folk ensemble PCPC provides a platform for the youth to display and exhibit
their natural instincts and channellise their energies for cultural promotion
of the state and the country and inculcating the cultural values amongst
them.
Punjab
cultural promotion council is committed to work for 'culture of peace',
International friendship, multiculturalism, cross country cultural relations
and cultural-exchange with other states and nations.
PCPC under the directorship
of Mr. Davinder Singh Chhina is committed to the propagation of 'True-spirit
of Sikhism' worldwide. PCPC is engaged in highlighting Sikh Turbans as
the dignity of Sikhs and separate identity of Sikh faith, Sikh way of life
and Sikh principles, with much emphasis on works for humanity.
Humanitarian approach of
PCPC:
PCPC organised International
festival in Sydney (Australia) on 20th Feb 2005 in aid of Tsunami victims
and the collections were donated to UNICEF for affected people of the
Tsunami disaster.
School Projects for
Educational, Sports and Cultural Exchanges...
PCPC has already
launched these school projects. PCPC Director Mr. Chhina led a group
of students from Baba Farid Public School (Bhatinda, Punjab) to a three
nation (Denmark, Sweden and Turkey) sightseeing tour in June 2006.
This group also participated in one of the world's biggest sports and
cultural extravaganza - Danish Festival of Sports and Culture at HADERSLEV,
organised by world famous gymnastic body, DGI International, based in
Copenhagen, Denmark.
PCPC is already on the ISCA
panel for exchange programs for students. Interested schools may send

considered for future world programmes of PCPC.
PCPC is also credited with
participation in World folklore festivals in Ozdere County,
Turkey and Legnica County, Poland during summer 2008.
PCPC organised sightseeing tours to Poland (Legnica),
Austria (Vienna), Czech Republic (Prague) and Turkey (Izmir)
for the Punjab students during 2008.
