Polish Folk Artists from various Universities of Wooclaw and
Warsawa (Poland) have termed their Punjab visit as unforgettable
experience and have got bowled down by the hospitality of the
Punjabis in general and hosts i.e. Punjab Cultural Promotion
Council in particular.
Polish
Diplomat Mr. Artur P. Lompart, the Head of the Division of
Culture and Education in the Embassy of Poland (New Delhi) also
joined the 15 member Polish Delegation during latter's visit to
Punjab. Diplomat Mr.
Lompart was all praise for Punjabis.
"The
initiatives of PCPC Director Mr. Davinder Singh Chhina in
inviting the students of various Universities of Poland is
praiseworthy and deserves appreciation as it has provided an
opportunity to students of both Nations to share their common
cultures, common traditions and to explore each other's
cultures" said Mr. Lompart in an interview with the media.
"Punjab
is now in the hearts of Polish Community and we have all come to
Punjab to forge International friendship with Punjabis in
general and Sikhs in particular and the international festivals
being organized by Mr. Davinder Singh Chhina would certainly
help in strengthening the common dialogues and cross-country
relations on both sides" he elaborated.
The
Polish Diplomat Mr. Artur P. Lompart was honoured with
souvenirs, momentoes, Sikh history – Punjab culture related
books by Punjab Cultural Promotion Council Director Davinder
Singh Chhina, Mr. Rajinder Singh Sohal (Chairman, Organising
Committee – Punjab Multi-cultural Festival), Mr. Ranjodh Singh
(Industrialist), Prof. Balvinderpal Singh, Er. D.M. Singh,
Principal (Retd.); Mr. G.S. Brara and others here today.
Polish
students Wioletta Milewska, Mr. Jedrzez Kulezak and Ms. Joanna
Romanska got very much impressed by the spiritualism at The
Golden Temple, Amritsar. "Such
holi place and such spiritual Gurdwara, we have visited and seen
fro the first time, where we got mental peace, harmony and
strength" remarked Ms. Wioletta. Polish
photographer Mr. Jacek Wozniab, who was also visited Punjab
these days also joined the polish folk ensemble Jedliniok. "I
have clicked wonderful views of the holy place the Golden Temple
and I would show these nice pictures in my International
exhibition" disclosed Mr. Jacek.
Ms.
Dobronila Oginska and Ms. Amela Wichlinska enjoyed performing
Gidha with students of Khalsa College of Education at Amritsar. Mr.
Pawel, Mr. Wojciech and Mr.
Dominik told media that they had all learnt Punjabi Bhangra and
they liked performing Bhangra, the Punjab style alongwith PCPC
folk artists and students of North West Institute of Engg. &
Technology at Dhudike, recently.
Jedliniok
folk Group's Director Mr. Henryk Brzezicki termed the Punjab
visit as exceptionally good and disclosed that Jedliniok and
PCPC would work in close liason with each other for
International Exchange programs between students of Punjab and
students of Poland. PCPC
Director Mr. Davinder Singh Chhina honoured all Polish Folk
Artists and students and asked them to spread the message of
humanity, multiculturism, love, peace, joy, goodwill, mutual
understanding and international friendship to the communities
and cultures all over the world.
Mr.
Zbigniew Cichon liked tying Turban during his Punjab tour, "I
like Sikh turbans as these fascinate all polish students, now in
Turban, I look like a Polish-Sikh" he said in an excited state. Polish
Delegation was overwhelmed by Punjabi food, Punjabi traditions
and love of Punjabis. They
liked the historic building of Khalsa College at Amritsar too.
