Aims and Objectives of Council:

  • To contribute for multiculturalism.

  • To help create international understanding in the field of culture and work for world peace and harmony.

  • To highlight Sikh Turbans as the dignity of Sikhs and separate identity of Sikh faith, Sikh way of life and Sikh principles, with much emphasis on works for humanity.

  • Provide opportunities to Punjab youth to exhibit and perform folk dances in national and international folk festivals.

  • Preserve and propagate rich traditional folklore and folkdances of Punjab-state.

  • To perform and organise energetic, exotic and versatile folk dances of Punjab in every corner of the world, with mystic sense of melody and rhythm.

  • To work for unity in diversity in cultures.

  • To enrich the great Punjab traditions by organising folklore shows in India.

  • To work for collective heritage.

  • To explore the possibilities of cultural exchange with European countries and other nations.

  • To strengthen the roots of regional culture and to evolve an enriched and composite national culture.

  • Preserve, project, disseminate and innovate the folk and traditional arts of Punjab state, including folk instruments and rural orchestra.
